Adult Groups

Peter has extensive experience of speaking to adult groups and with a power point illustrating suffragette memorabilia still with the family to this day, gives a stirring and passionate account of Alice’s ‘fight’ for the vote.

As a young boy, Peter first learnt of Alice from his grandfather who often went on the suffragette marches with his mother Alice and during the talk recounts oral history passed down to him over the family generations.

Tailored in running time to suit, the presentations are given without notes and are overwhelmingly well received with many invitations via referrals.

Hearing Alice’s life story would suit after dinner speaking, regular member meetings, or as part of a community event such as a history festival.

Peter’s public speaking over recent years has taken him to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, Parliament (Women’s History Month), National Archives, and also as an ‘extra’ in the film ‘Suffragette’. Peter also has been a guest on many TV and radio programmes.

Audience size varies from 30 to 300 and is particularly suitable for area / county wide member meetings. Speaking with a clear and strong voice, audio support is generally only required for 150 plus audiences.
